Pharmacy software with GST billing, stock control and a digital Rx queue
The Dhrunex pharmacy module connects the pharmacist directly to the doctors: every prescription written in a consultation arrives in the pharmacy queue digitally, ready to dispense without re-typing. Walk-in counter sales and medicine issues to admitted patients run through the same screen, so the pharmacy's books are complete without a second system.
For Indian hospitals where the pharmacy is a separate GST registrant, Dhrunex prints tax invoices under the pharmacy's own GSTIN and drug-licence numbers, and keeps the pharmacy's sales and GST reports separate from hospital billing.
Capabilities
What's included
Rx queue from the doctor's desk
Prescriptions arrive digitally the moment a consultation is saved. The pharmacist dispenses against them item by item, with no re-typing and no misread handwriting.
Counter sales and ward issues
Walk-in (OTC) sales and medicine issues to admitted in-patients both run in the same system, so nothing happens off the books.
The pharmacy's own GST identity
Tax invoices print under the pharmacy's own GSTIN and drug-licence numbers, kept separate from hospital billing, which is correct for pharmacies registered as a separate GST entity.
Live stock control
Stock on hand, goods receipts, and a full stock journal, with expiring-soon alerts so short-dated stock is sold or returned before it becomes a write-off.
Schedule H / H1 register
The regulatory register is maintained automatically as you dispense: always current, always printable, never a weekend of catching up.
Bulk formulary upload
Your entire medicine formulary loads from a spreadsheet, with per-row validation that tells you exactly which lines need fixing instead of failing silently.
Daily sales and GST output reports
Ready for your accountant every day: sales by payment mode and GST output figures, reported separately for the pharmacy.
Invoice per payment
Every payment gets its own numbered invoice as a PDF (cash, card, UPI or split), matching how Indian pharmacies actually bill.
Workflow
A prescription's journey through the pharmacy
- 01
The doctor prescribes
The prescription written in the consultation lands in the pharmacy's Rx queue automatically, with the patient's details attached.
- 02
The pharmacist dispenses
Items are dispensed against the prescription; stock decrements in real time and Schedule H entries are recorded where applicable.
- 03
The patient pays
Payment by cash, card or UPI produces a numbered GST tax invoice under the pharmacy's own GSTIN, printed as a PDF.
- 04
The books stay current
Daily sales, GST output and the Schedule H register are ready at any moment, for the accountant, the auditor or the drug inspector.
Common questions
Our pharmacy has its own GST registration. Can Dhrunex bill it separately?
Yes. The pharmacy is treated as its own GST registrant: tax invoices print under the pharmacy's GSTIN and drug-licence numbers, and its sales and GST reports are kept separate from hospital billing.
Does it maintain the Schedule H register?
Yes, automatically. Every dispense of a Schedule H or H1 drug is recorded in the register as it happens, so the register is always current and printable for inspection.
How do we load our existing medicine list?
Through a spreadsheet bulk upload. The upload validates every row and reports problems per column, so a typo in one line never blocks or corrupts the rest of your formulary.
One system, every department
Pharmacy & inventory is one part of the Dhrunex hospital management platform. The same login and patient record connect it to the rest of the hospital.
